UNITED STATES : EDF, A MAJOR MEMBER AND CONTRIBUTOR TO EPRI
EDF has been a long-time contributor to applied research programs alongside the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), which comprises
more than 40 countries, and represents over 90% of electricity generated and delivered in the United States. EPRI unites the sector's experts responsible for carrying out R&D projects related to energy and the environment, namely with regard to operations and optimization performance of the nuclear and fossil-fired production fleet. As such, EPRI is a stakeholder in the Materials Ageing Institute (MAI), which is committed to advances in the ageing process of power plant materials. EDF R&D also works with EPRI on the topic of smart grids, water resource management in electric power plants, industry-specific energy efficiency, etc.
