- By protecting these structures from environmental threats (high water levels, flooding, spring tide, extreme weather, silting up, clogging of water points with algae, oil slicks, etc.);
- By assessing the impact of climate change on existing structures and those under construction (embankment size, spillways, water inlets, disposal facilities, impact on efficiency).
