Approximately 70% of the surface water in France passes through apower generation structure, whether this is a hydroelectric dam, atraditional fossil-fired plant or a nuclear plant (cold source).
  • By reducing the impact of these structures on the environment (water quality, temperature, ecosystems);
  • By protecting these structures from environmental threats (high water levels, flooding, spring tide, extreme weather, silting up, clogging of water points with algae, oil slicks, etc.);
  • By assessing the impact of climate change on existing structures and those under construction (embankment size, spillways, water inlets, disposal facilities, impact on efficiency).
