Estimating wind power potential in complex terrain

EDF R&D came up with a new method for estimating the power potential of windfarms. The method was used and successfully generated high-resolution maps of the site's wind power potential, in addition to calculating turbulence levels (an important criterion in assessing maintenance costs and machine lifespan).
