Propose and validate innovations

It is thus designed to propose new developments in the construction, operation and management of distribution networks. Another goal will be to validate the benefits identified through local experiments, thus helping to prepare for the gradual integration of the most efficient innovations into operational activities.

The main issues addressed will include: bolstering new information and communication technologies used in the operation and control of networks, as well as in the management of assets: application of new control and automation functions, selective implementation of sensors, and the sharing and use of data between the different distribution businesses.

Developing virtual simulation tools

Developing simulation tools to respond to the network's increasing complexity and optimise its operations.
Physical modelling of equipment to monitor ageing and strike the right balance between risks of failure, maintenance and replacement, bearing in mind ever stiffer requirements as regards asset performance.
